The mission of the La Conner Regional Library is to promote the enjoyment of reading, to provide resources to meet the informational needs of the community and to support educational and cultural activities of local organizations.

Skagit Reads PosterThis October, please join readers from across Skagit County for Skagit Reads 2014!

We will come together as a county to read and discuss Mark Winne’s book Closing The Food Gap.  Come visit your library to get a free copy of the book.

Closing The Food Gap discusses the issues of hunger, food insecurity, and nutrition within the United States, and examines the diverse community-based initiatives that have sought to address these problems.
The book club that meets in the Library will be talking about it with Graham Kerr on October 22 at 7pm. For other discussions and events around the county, click here.
