Native American Resources
 

American Indian History Database: An online database that offers fast access to more than 15,000 years of culture and history through topic entries, biographies, images, maps and charts, legends, primary sources, and timeline entries. Get your password from the library! This resource is funded by the La Conner Rotary.

Native American Document Project: This collection currently included the narrative reports  of the Commisioner of Indian Affairs from 1871, 1872, 1875, and 1876, and three other reports from 1871. includes the map of western reservations published with the 1875 report.

Native American Foods: Recipes from various tribes organized by main ingredient.

American Indians of the Northwest: The Library of Congress presents information and photographs of Indians of the Northwest.

American Indians of the Pacific NW: An extensive digital collection of original photographs and documents about the northwest Coast and Plateau Indian cultures, complemented by essays written by anthropologists, historians, and teachers.

Washington Indian Maps: A list of tribes with area maps and information about each of the tribes, including links.
